The Brunos Web Page

The Brunos are a group of musicians and dancers specializing in ethnic/traditional music and dance from England, France, and other areas of the world. Our music has been called ‘post-neo-traditional’, while our dance style is more along the lines of ‘living tradition’.

"Bear do not wear hats"

But Bruno does! Most of The Brunos dance and play music. Most of The Brunos who play music play two or more instruments. We specialize in period, costumed dance and music performance ranging from the English renaissance to Victorian times, with a smattering of American performances from revolutionary times to the California Gold Rush. Of course, we also do non-costumed performances as well.
That's a lot of hats.

The Brunos Announce their first CD release!

After years of diligent study, meticulous practice and excessive consumption of beer, The Brunos are proud to announce the publication of our first CD, Bloody Knuckles

Bloody Knuckles contains over sixty minutes of traditional music from England, France, Ireland, Scotland, and Afghanistan!? Heck, why not? The CD also has some original tunes on it. The one thing it doesn't have is singing. Sorry, we are primarily an instrumental group.

If you like world music, this CD is a must for your collection!
